Dobre drží vlhkosť a nelepí sa. Vhodný do suchých aj polosuchých terárií. Vhodný najmä pre korytnačky, jašterice, hady, pavúky, slimáky a iné druhy.

Výborne absorbuje extrémenty od vašich maznáčikov. Substrát vydrží dlho vlhký, aj tak je potrebné pre zvieratá, ktoré to vyžadujú po čase zvlhčiť.
Použitie: substrát nasypte do terária a rozprestrite. Väčšinou sa používa vrstva cca 3 – 6 cm, ale záleží na chovanom druhu, hrabavé a väčšie druhy zvierat vyžadujú vyššiu vrstvu. Odporúčame výmenu 2 – 4 x ročne podľa znečistenia. Priebežne odstraňujte exkrementy a iné nečistoty, prípadne substrát dosypte.
